Financial Literacy Series for Owners of Family Child Care Businesses

This four part series will help you if you have your own business in the field, or want to have your own business

Acre Family Child Care and the International Institute of Lowell are partnering to bring this four part series to you!

Do you want to start a family child care business in your home? We can help!
Acre Family Child Care Providers receive training, individual assistance and ongoing support that includes:

  • Training and assistance in getting licensed and opening your child care business
  • Child care referrals, billing services for the collection of parent fees, and regular payment twice a month.
  • Opportunities for continued training and career growth through NAFCC Accreditation and CDA Credentialing
  • Support staff and trainers who speak English, Khmer, Vietnamese, Portuguese and Spanish
  • In-home visits from child care specialists and a social worker
  • Small business loans for supplies and education expenses
  • Assistance with curriculum development, parent relations, and child care supplies and equipment

Acre's training programs are offered in English, Spanish and Khmer, and are scheduled during evening and weekend hours to accommodate working child care providers.

Acre's Benchmarks Training is nationally recognized as a comprehensive training program for home-based family child care providers. The Benchmarks cover early childhood education, child care and small business practices:

Professional Development
Acre offers professional development ongoing training sessions and individual technical assistance for providers working toward the National Association for Family Child Care Accreditation, the Child Development Associate Credential, and the Massachusetts Lead Teacher Certification.
