Staff Bios

Wendy Fournier began working at Acre as the Professional Development Coordinator the end of July 2006. She spent the last 10 years working at Child Care Search, a child care resource & referral agency. At the start of her career she worked as an Information & Referral Counselor, helping parents find day care for their children and educating about quality child care. She then moved into a Voucher Counselor position, working with parents transitioning off of public assistance who were authorized to receive subsidized child care, before becoming the Training Coordinator overseeing the training of family child care providers. Wendy earned a Bachelor's degree in early childhood development with a minor in social work from North Adams State College.

Linette Perez was hired as Acre's social worker in March 2005. She previously worked as a public school special education teacher. She has also been employed as a social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Social Services. Linette is fluent in Spanish and English, has a Bachelor's degree in social work and Spanish translation from Greenville College in Illinois, and is currently working toward her Master's degree in social work at Cambridge College.

Bopha Tran enrolled in Acre's provider training program in 1995 and was the first Cambodian woman in Massachusetts to be licensed as a family child care provider. Bopha cared for children in her home until joining the Acre staff in 1999 as a child care specialist. She speaks Khmer, Vietnamese and English, and provides home visits and technical assistance to Acre's Cambodian and English-speaking providers.
